Iso E Super (IFF)

Iso E Super is probably the most popular wood chemical on the market today, with the high isomer Iso G Super being the single ingredient in the famed Molecule 01 of Escentric Molecules. Iso G Super is not available on the market as it is an IFF captive, but the next best thing (even if you are wishing to simply clone Molcule 01) is the IFF quality of Iso E Super.

This is the cleanest and most translucent version of this synthetic aroma chemical and it is fair to say that it improves almost every formula to which it added. It comprises a key part of the well known Grojsman accord which, in its original form is:

Odour Profile: Iso E Super presents a subtle, smooth woody-ambery aroma with cedar-like facets, a characteristic velvety texture, and transparent warmth that enhances rather than dominates compositions.

Uses: Essential for adding radiance, texture and fixation to fragrances; blends across woody, floral, oriental and chypre compositions.
